The first features will roll out as a free software update next month in U.S. English globally.
With iOS 18, Apple Intelligence introduces systemwide Writing Tools that allow users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across apps like Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party platforms. In Notes and Phone, users can record, transcribe, and summarize audio. Phone app calls can be recorded with participant notifications, followed by an automatic summary of key points.
Apple Intelligence also streamlines notifications and prioritizes important emails with Priority Messages in Mail, summarizing key information instead of previewing the first few lines.
Siri now features a sleek design with a glowing edge light and enhanced language capabilities. It maintains context between requests, adapts to users’ speech patterns, and allows seamless switching between text and voice commands.
