Google has inaugurated ‘Ananta’, one of its largest global offices, in Bengaluru, reinforcing India’s pivotal role in the company’s digital strategy.

A Strategic hub for Innovation

India has long been a tech nerve center, driving advancements in startups, app ecosystems, and digital infrastructure. The Ananta campus aligns with Google’s vision to build for and with India, leveraging Indian ingenuity to enhance products for billions of users worldwide. “For Google, India represents a unique opportunity—not just to reach millions of users but also to shape our global products with Indian innovation,” said Anand Rangarajan, VP, Google DeepMind.

Ananta: A landmark in Workplace Design

The Bengaluru-based Ananta campus is among Google’s most ambitious developments, designed in collaboration with Indian architects. Its name, ‘Ananta’ (Sanskrit for infinite/limitless), reflects the company’s expansive vision. It also represents the global impact that the company aims to make through this facility.

The purpose-built facility features India’s largest electro-chromic glass installation, allowing intelligent light control, and a sculpted, fluid facade that enhances its architectural appeal. According to Sunil Rao, VP, Global Delivery, Google Cloud India, Ananta’s design embodies Google’s latest workplace innovations. The campus will enable world-class product development, deeper industry partnerships, and solutions for complex challenges faced by businesses and startups in India and globally.

AI and India’s Digital Future

Google’s commitment to India was further emphasized by CEO Sundar Pichai, who met PM Narendra Modi at the AI Action Summit in Paris last week. “Delighted to meet PM Modi to discuss the incredible opportunities AI will bring to India and how we can work together on India’s digital transformation,” Pichai posted on X (formerly Twitter).

With Ananta, Google strengthens its long-term commitment to India’s digital evolution. As AI and tech advancements accelerate, India remains a key player in Google’s global strategy, shaping the future of digital innovation.
