Nikesh Arora, the CEO and Chairman of Palo Alto Networks, has achieved a significant milestone as the only Silicon Valley executive of Indian origin to be named one of the top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the United States. According to a report by C-Suite Comp, Arora ranks 10th among the highest-earning CEOs in the country.

While prominent Indian-American CEOs like Google’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella did not make the list, Arora’s impressive earnings secured him a spot. The C-Suite Comp report released two lists based on “total compensation granted” in 2023 and “compensation actually paid.”

Arora, 56, was ranked fourth in the list of “Highest Earning CEOs by Total Compensation Granted in 2023″ with earnings of $151.4 million. Additionally, he was placed 10th in the list of “Highest Earning CEOs by Compensation Actually Paid in 2023″ with an annual compensation of $266.4 million. Tesla CEO Elon Musk topped this list with an astonishing $1.4 billion in earnings for 2023.

Nikesh Arora’s career trajectory is noteworthy, with key positions at Google and SoftBank Group. He assumed the role of CEO at Palo Alto Networks in 2018. Arora holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University (now IIT-BHU), an MBA from Northeastern University, and an MSc from Boston College. He completed his schooling at the Air Force Public School in Delhi. Arora’s achievement as one of the highest-paid CEOs underscores his remarkable career and contributions to the tech industry.
