Mark Wahlberg’s fitness routine has inspired millions of people since it first came out in 2018. The workout style became an instant hit among youngsters. The actor, known for his role in ‘The Departed,’ wakes up at an astonishing 2:30 am in the morning to start his workout. This extreme fitness routine has kept him fit even at the age of 52, although there have been slight variations over time.

So, what exactly does his workout comprise?

Mark Wahlberg begins his gym workout at 2:30 am. Yes, you read that right! He follows this early morning session with another workout later in the day, as well as a recovery session. In the past, he shared his workout routine on Instagram. After waking up at 2:30 am, he spends time in prayer until 2:45 am. Then, at 3:15 am, he has breakfast and begins his workout at 3:40 am. He exercises until 5:15 am and has a post-workout meal around 5:30 am.

What follows the morning workout session?

After taking a shower at 6 am, Wahlberg goes for golf practice at 7:30 am. At 9:30 am, he has a recovery session in a cryo chamber. Surprisingly, he also engages in a second workout session around 4 pm.

His dinner time is remarkably early!

Despite the demanding workout schedule, Wahlberg has dinner at 5:30 pm. He goes to sleep at 7:30 pm, following a pattern resembling intermittent fasting with a substantial fasting period between his meals.

A few recent adjustments

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Wahlberg revealed that he no longer adheres to the strict workout regimen he used to follow. He now sleeps until 3:30 am or sometimes even 4 am. His current routine includes taking vitamins in the morning and maintaining an eating window from 12 pm to 6 pm. He has kept his bedtime consistent.

He aims to fast for 18 hours a day!

One aspect of Wahlberg’s healthy routine that remains consistent is intermittent fasting. According to reports, he aims to fast for 18 hours a day, practicing this at least five days a week. He occasionally incorporates swimming and golf into his fitness routine. As quoted by the Insider, he stated, “I’m trying to share that information with everybody because I’m really, really seeing the benefits and pretty quickly.”
